Why The Basics?

The Pensacola Basics was born of a desire to come alongside families and offer practical, everyday ways to foster school readiness.

The Basics community is a diverse network of organizations and individuals committed to a single goal:
Improving young children’s lives by ensuring that all families have access to strategies for making the most of the time they spend with children from birth to 3 years old.

Get The Basics

The Basics Movement in Pensacola is powered by Studer Community Institute in collaboration with The Basics, Inc. The Basics approach was designed and launched in Boston by the Achievement Gap Initiative at Harvard University and the Black Philanthropy Fund. We are a local affiliate of The Basics Learning Network, a coalition of cities, towns, and counties in the US and abroad.
